Objectives
- To encourage and support high-quality research activities among students and faculty.
- To promote the development and protection of intellectual property through patent filing and related activities.
- To foster collaborations with academia, industry, and research organizations.
- To facilitate funded research projects and consultancy services.
- To organize capacity-building programs on research methodology, scientific writing, and IPR awareness.
- To ensure ethical standards and regulatory compliance in all research activities.
Functions
- Facilitate and monitor UG, PG, and Ph.D. research projects.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of research proposals to funding agencies.
- Guide faculty and students in scientific writing, publication ethics, and research documentation.
- Conduct workshops, training sessions, and awareness programs on intellectual property rights.
- Maintain a database of research output, patents filed, and publications.
- Support in organizing research conclaves, conferences, and symposia.
Responsibilities
- Promoting Research Culture: Encourage students and faculty to engage in innovative and socially relevant research.
- IPR Facilitation: Assist in patent search, drafting, filing, and liaising with patent attorneys and IP offices.
- Project Monitoring: Ensure proper guidance, timely execution, and review of all institutional research projects.
- Funding and Grants: Identify potential funding opportunities and help in preparing project proposals.
- Ethical Compliance: Oversee that all research complies with ethical standards, institutional guidelines, and regulatory norms.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain records of all research activities and submit reports to regulatory and accreditation bodies when required.
